High quality. Awkward design.

I've used a lot of razors over the last 50 years, including flex-head and blade cartridge types. The overall quality of this product is impressive, in the steel of the blades, and the ease with which the blade cartridge loads onto and disposes from the solid handle. But the design decision to place the handle mount point and flex point at the extreme bottom of the blade array rather than the more usual center of the blade array renders the razor quite awkward to maneuver around the normal irregularities that an older face is quite likely to have, particularly in the area under the nose, but elsewhere too. Because of the overall high quality, this is not a deal breaker for using the product, but if Dollar Shave Club had blade cartridges that were center mounted rather than bottom mounted, I would certainly switch to them.

The Razor that Makes Shaving a Breeze

I recently started using the Dollar Shave Club 4-Blade Club Razor Refill Cartridges and I have been thoroughly impressed with the product. The razor blades are sharp and provide a smooth, close shave. I have sensitive skin and was worried about irritation, but I have not experienced any issues since switching to this brand. The cartridges are easy to install and last a long time, which makes the overall cost of the product very affordable compared to other razors on the market. Best value, great shave

Been a Dollar Shave fan for years. Before, I'd buy refills for whatever brand I was using at the big "discount" store, paying WAYYY more for them than these Dollar blades. Like other folks on the membership plan, I'd accumulated a pile of refills, and after retiring and shaving way less often, I didn't need more, until the wife jumped on the Dollar Shave train. Also, like everything else, prices have gone up, so adding some refills to my Amazon order made sense. Here's my favorite part about these blades. I use no shaving cream. Just hot water. No nicks, cuts, issues, ever. Don't think that inexpensive is cheap. These shavers are awesome!

Love

I love to be able to use dollar shave products and ithout the dollar shave club commitment to getting a pack every month. I previously had a build up so large it took years to go threw it even after cancelling my membership. This is first pack I have baught after. I love their razor blades as they don't rust near as bad as any other I have tried. I love the handles the way they feel. One blade if cleaned and sprayed with alcohol and put in cabinet last a month (one pack last four months).

23 years of head shaving:

I’ve tried everything, including ordering DSC blades straight from the manufacturer (Dorco) about a half dozen years ago. My checklist involves “blades that doesn’t cut me and don’t clog up from doing a face and head.” Longevity isn’t a problem if the blades are cheap. Gillette were too expensive and they clog up. All other brands were garbage. Harry’s checked all the boxes and had that reassuring cutting sound that let me know it was slicing my hair. Then I ordered some DSC blades by accident. Then I needed to order the handle. I tried them and the experience was strange. They don’t make a reassuring slicing sound. They don’t scratch on the surface of my skin (which I actually like). They instead make a rolling sensation like a rollerball pen on a piece of paper. At first, this confused me. I wasn’t sure if I left a cover on the blade or something- but sure enough, the blades were doing a good job. And they felt smooth while doing it. I would put the cutting results similar to Harry’s, but the cutting sensation is completely different. I like it.
